Recommandation d’ELIZE Design

Hanging a small picture may seem simple, but choosing the right fastener becomes important as the object gets heavier.

Before drilling, identify the type of wall and, when necessary, use a stud finder to locate the framing behind the drywall.

If the fastener goes directly into a wood stud, an appropriate screw can usually provide excellent strength. If you must fasten into drywall between studs, use an anchor suited to the wall type and, most importantly, to the weight of the object.

Before making the first hole, measure the location carefully and use a level. A few minutes of preparation can prevent several unnecessary holes.

For heavy objects such as large mirrors, shelves or televisions, using the correct and sufficiently strong mounting method is especially important.
